HIS Majesty's Government is spending about $264.18 million for the construction of 2,289 homes under the National Housing Scheme.
Construction of these new homes for citizens are expected to be completed by 2012.
Six contracts were signed yesterday for the National Housing Scheme and Landless Indigenous Citizens Housing Scheme (STKRJ) between the Housing Development Department and several construction firms at the Ministry of Development.
A variety of houses are scheduled for construction in the Brunei-Muara and Belait districts.
The homes will be built in Kg Tanah Jambu and Kg Meragang in the Brunei-Muara district, while the Belait district projects will be located in Kg Lumut and Sungai Liang.
On hand to witness the signing of the contracts was Minister of Development Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Abdullah Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar, who later presented the contract documents to senior representatives of the construction companies.
The first contract signed between Haaqqah (B) Sdn Bhd and the Housing Development Department is 300 houses proposed for the National Housing Scheme at Kg Meragang.
The other two projects in Kg Meragang were signed by TSL Construction Sdn Bhd, which will be carrying out infrastructure work and 358 units of new detached homes and Thong & Thong (B) Sdn Bhd, which will be developing 361 units of double storey houses. The projects in Kg Meragang fall under the National Housing Scheme.
Two separate contracts were also signed between the government and Nikkoh Construction & Development Sdn Bhd; and Alisan Jaya Sdn Bhd, which will see further development in Kg Tanah Jambu.
Nikkoh Construction & Development Sdn Bhd will be developing 266 semi-detached homes and 158 terrace houses under the National Housing Scheme.
A total of 18 units of semi-detached homes and 338 terrace houses will be built by Alisan Jaya following the completion of infrastructure work by the company under the STKRJ.
In Belait, Syarikat Kejuruteraan Sistematik Sdn Bhd will be tasked with the major development of 490 units of detached housing in the Sungai Liang and Kg Lumut area.
Also present at yesterday's contract signing ceremony was Deputy Minister of Development Dato Paduka Dr Hj Mat Suny Hj Mohd Hussein and senior ministry officials.

国王陛下におかせられましては、国家住宅計画に基づいて、その政府に約2億6,418万ドルを支出させておられます。
これらの新住宅建設は、2012年までの完成を期されています。
開発省に於いて、昨日、住宅開発局といくつかの建設会社との間で、国家住宅計画と不動産不所持先住民住宅計画（STKRJ）に関する六つの契約が調印されました。
各住宅は、ブルネイ・マウラ地区及びブライト地区に於いて建設が予定されています。
住宅は、ブルネイ・マウラ地区のKgタナー・ジャムブとKgムラガングに建設されるでしょう。
一方、ブライト地区の計画は、Kgルムッとスンガイ・リアングに於いて実施されます。
調印式の立会人を務めたのは、開発大臣であるプーイン・オラング・カヤ・ハムザ・パーラワン・ダトゥ・スリ・ハジ・アブドゥラ・ブガワン・ムディム・ダトゥ・パドゥカ・ハジ・バカール氏であります。
同大臣は、後刻、建設会社の上級代理人達に契約書を提示しました。
Haaqqah（ハークカー）有限会社と住宅開発局との間で契約された最初の契約は、Kgムラガングでの国家住宅計画に基づく300戸建設案です。
Kgムラガングでの他の二つの計画は、インフラ整備事業と358戸の一戸建住宅建設を履行するTSL建設有限会社、それに361戸の二階建住宅を建設するトング・トング有限会社によって契約されました。
Kgムラガングでのプロジェクトは、国家住宅計画に含まれています。
政府とニッコー建設開発有限会社、kgタナー・ジャムブで更なる開発を期するアリサン・ジャヤ有限会社との間で別個の二つの契約が調印されました。
ニッコー建設開発有限会社は、国家住宅計画に基づいて、266戸の"一棟二軒"住宅と158戸のテラスハウスを構築するでしょう。
合計18戸の"一棟二軒"住宅と338戸のテラスハウスが、不動産不所持先住民住宅計画（STKRJ）に拠るインフラ整備事業の完成に続いて、アリサン・ジャヤ有限会社によって建設されるでしょう。
ブライト地区に於いて、クジュルテラアン・システマティック有限会社は、スンガイ・リアングとkgルムッ地域の490戸の一戸建住宅の主要建設を執行します。
昨日の調印式にはまた、開発大臣代理のダトゥ・パドゥカ・ドクター・ハジ・マット・サニー・ハジ・モハメッド・フセイン氏と他の政府高官も出席しました。
