ST Marine, QAF get S$66.5m contract to build waste management facility in Brunei

SINGAPORE : ST Engineering says a consortium formed by its marine arm, ST Marine and its Brunei partner, QAF, has won a contract to design and build a waste management facility in Brunei.
The deal from the Brunei Economic Development Board is worth S$66.5 million.
The project in Sungai Paku will comprise an engineered landfill, a transfer station plus three years of operations and maintenance of the facility.
The waste treatment facility will serve as a permanent waste disposal site for Brunei.
ST Marine's environmental arm, STSE Engineering Services, will undertake the project with QAF.
This is one of the larger contracts STSE will undertaken.
ST Engineering says the design and construction of the facility is expected to start late this year and will take about 18 months to complete.
It also says the final details of the contract will be concluded in the next few weeks.
It adds that this contract is not expected to have any material impact on its consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share for the current financial year. - CNA/jy

シンガポールのSTエンジニアリングは以下のように表明しました。
同社の海洋部門であるST MarineとそのブルネイのパートナーであるQAFとの共同体は、ブルネイでのごみ処理場のデザイン及び建設契約を勝ち取りました。
ブルネイ経済開発委員会からの受注金額は、6,650万米ドルに相当します。
スンガイ・パク地域でのプロジェクトは、ごみ廃棄場及びごみ集積場に加え、それぞれ三ヵ年の運営及びメンテナンスを含みます。
ごみ処理場は、ブルネイの永久的なごみ処理施設として稼動します。
ST Marineの環境事業部門であるSTSEエンジニアリング・サービスは、QAFと共に事業を請け負います。
これはSTSEが請け負った大きな契約のうちのひとつです。
STエンジニアリングは次のように表明しました。
施設のデザインと建設は、本年後期からの開始が期されており、完成までに約18ヶ月を要します。
契約の最終的な詳細は、数週間後には明らかになります。
補足として、この契約は当該事業年度に関して、その一株あたりの収益である連結純有形資産に具体的な影響力を及ぼさないはずです。
